Did you know...

90%

of deaf individuals are born to hearing parents.

500,000

deaf people use ASL as their natural language in the U.S. and Canada.

The Problem

Finding resources outside the classroom to teach and learn ASL can be difficult, but especially when…

You are a child who is deaf or hard-of-hearing, but those around you have no prior knowledge of ASL

You are the parent of a deaf or hearing-impaired child, but do not know ASL and cannot teach your child

Commonly available resources are limited due to

  • Limited free content
  • Little interaction with the child’s surroundings
  • No recent updates

Kids are curious, active, and love to learn! So we decided to make an app that caters to these qualities and improves current solutions.
